    WORKSHOP INFORMATION

Workshops are held EVERY THURSDAY OR TUESDAY, 6-9 P.M. (If you sign up to study, you will be assigned either Tuesday night OR Thursday night 1x per week.)

YOU ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW ALL OF THE FOLLOWING BEFORE ENROLLMENT: (Click on "Read More")

The following are requirements for becoming a part of the Rohrering Success Workshops held every Thursday or Tuesday in Denver. Please print out this following message and refer to it often.

The workshop to which you have been referred, is made up of aspiring and working professionals who have a strong commitment to film and television work and whom require a serious challenge week to week. This workshop is only for those who seek the same challenge with equaled commitment.

Joining the workshop is a serious commitment; one that I hope you will enjoy and be challenged by. It is also one where you will find tremendous support and encouragement and even a few laughs. I look forward to seeing you and supporting your goals. Paul.

"I don't care what you do for a living. If you love it, you are a success!" George Burns

The introductory workshop (audit) is offered at no cost or obligation allowing both the workshop and the prospective student an opportunity to explore synergy and interest.

Prospective students who receive an invitation to continue, will be asked to make an initial three month commitment.

Attendance is essential and required unless you are WORKING!
(See Workshop Policies for details.) Before you arrive, you are expected to know the following POLICIES.

    WORKSHOP POLICIES

SCHEDULE: It is expected that students will follow Industry Standards. (The Rohrering Success workshops are preparatory in nature. Expectations of the industry are mostly non-forgiving, demanding the most of its participants.) ARRIVING “ON-TIME” is considered “LATE”! DO ARRIVE 5 TO 10 MINUTES BEFORE 6 p.m. (IF YOU ARRIVE LATER, OR ARE UNSETTLED AT 6 p.m. YOU ARE LATE!!)

On occasion you will have reason to be late. AS SOON AS YOU KNOW, CALL ME. (303) 688-5027 ALL MESSAGES ARE RECEIVED.

When you are late or absent for ANY reason, you will be expected to present a 2-minute Shakespearean monologue to the best of your ability at the beginning of the next cold-read workshop. (Not as punishment, rather for continued professional development. You do not have to be late in order to take advantage of this opportunity!)

FEES: Workshops are $150.00 per month. NO PRO-RATES.* DUE ON OR BEFORE THE FIRST OF EACH MONTH. Checks are to be made to ROHRERING SUCCESS, INC. P.O. Box 91 Castle Rock, CO. 80104-0091.

LATE FEES: If payment is NOT RECEIVED on or before the 10th of each month due, a $15.00 late fee will be assessed. NO EXCEPTIONS.

REFUNDS: Workshop fees are non-refundable. If a student chooses to “skip”, it is the sole responsibility of that student for their actions. HOWEVER: If a student is hired for a job or other industry-related reason, missing THREE WEEKS OR MORE, fees already paid, will apply as credit upon students’ return. Individual classes are NOT pro-rated. (*EXCEPT for 1st month when starting.)

MAKE –UPS: If you are absent due to WORK, you may schedule a 30-minute private make-up session (ONLY) within 30 days of the missed workshop. Make up dates cannot be re-scheduled or saved. (If highways are open, so is workshop, so get good snow tires.)

HONOR: I honor your word as you honor mine. It is my opinion that our word is more important than a contract agreement. By agreeing to enroll, you agree to pay (minimum) $450.00 for the initial 3 months. (Payable month to month.) You also agree give a TWO WEEK NOTICE for month-long (or more) absences. PLEASE consider this agreement BEFORE joining the workshop.

GETTING WORK: Paul is not an agent, nor does he represent any one agency. Paul is a coach, NOT a teacher and CANNOT guarantee any work or financial gain from your having participated in his avocational program. On occasion, Paul will refer students upon request from directors and producers he knows. However, Paul takes no fees or commissions for this action. If you choose me as your coach, I am available by email or telephone (303) 688-5027 or scheduled meetings 5 or more days per week; (not just workshop time.) Your success and pursuit of success is my greatest reward.

PAUL NEAL ROHRER is a veteran of stage, film and video. Recognized with top honors for his contemporary comic monologue in 1971, Paul began his life long pursuit of acting as a career.

In 1980 Rohrer moved to Colorado and appeared in numerous companies until settling in as a resident player at the Arvada Center for both “Children” and “Mainstage” productions for five contiguous years. While at the Arvada Center, he also worked as stage hand, Lighting Tech, Projectionist, Sound and Advertising Sales Manager.

In 1986 Rohrer became active in the film and television community studying under direction of Benson Studios. Direction, coaching and tutelage for Rohrer’s award-winning success in front of the camera include luminaries such as Tony Barr, Lynn Stalmaster, Marvin Paige, Mike Fenton and Dabney Coleman to name a few. Rohrer’s first S.A.G. performance (9/86) was under director Bob Giraldi.

In 2003, he was cast in Silver City under the direction of John Sayles, appearing with Richard Dreyfuss, Chris Cooper and Billy Zane. Awards earned from screen performances to date, include numerous Telly and Clio awards. Paul was co -producer and casting director for the feature length production of MOOSIE (1998.) Recently, Paul has worked in several features, including Rick Ramage’s West End Production of ICHABOD. He is also coaching and developing talent, working with Denver’s top agencies and production companies to expand and develop the overall marketplace.

The Rohrering Success Workshops grew out of Rohrer’s experience teaching for the stage since 1977, then at the Arvada Center since 1983 and for the camera since 1986.

As your coach, I will provide you information, instruction and advice on what I have learned and experienced through the years of this “roller coaster” industry. Your attitude and desire are your best assets. Coupled with what you have experienced, felt and discovered in life, and what the industry demands are; we will work together to develop your “uniquities”!
